Tight hip flexors are a common problem shared by almost everyone who sits for long periods during the day. The good news is that they are relatively easy to stretch.
Here I show you how to stretch and strengthen all the muscles of the front hip at the same time. You can move your arms into different positions as you lift your heel up and down off the ground as this will stretch the upper fibres of your psoas and your abdominal muscles in different positions.
This is a great exercise to do if you have already gained flexibility in your hips from doing some of the more generic and standard psoas or front hip stretches out there.
Personally, I like to do this one every few hours when Iโm spending time writing at my computer. It really keeps the hips open.
